The KIA Telluride earned the honors in the "Midsize SUV with 3-Row Seating" category. The KIA Sportage claimed the top spot in the "Compact SUV" segment. The new KIA K5, in just its third year of production, took home the honor in the "Midsize Car" class. While the KIA Soul and KIA Rio wear the crown for the "Micro SUV" and Small Car categories, respectively.
The ALG Residual Value Award recognizes a vehicle's resale value and takes into account the important factors shoppers look for when purchasing a used car. The five awards were the most by any brand graded by J.D. Power. KIA also was named the Most Improved mass market brand, year-after-year.
The Vice President of ALG, Eric Lyman, says the recognition, "speaks volumes about how far the brand has come." He added that consumers understand KIA has "a very strong product lineup in terms of design, quality and residual values." He concluded by stating that KIA is a "force to be reckoned with." And we can't say we disagree.
