The All-New 2019 Kia Forte is a Favorite at the First Southwest Lifestyle Vehicle of the Year Awards

The celebrated compact sedan took home the status of winner for "best value" at the event, held at the time-honored Bondurant Racing School just outside of Phoenix, AZ during the third week in October 2018. According to the event director, 2019 Forte "exceeded expectations in almost every category."

After undergoing some exciting real-world testing, the journalists-turned-judges lauded our automaker's latest car for its sports car-like design, a nod to the new Kia Stinger, as well as its driving dynamics. We at Northtown Kia can certainly see why. The trim lineup for the new model year, ranging from Forte FE and LXS to S and the top-of-the-line EX, is nothing short of exemplary.

For one, Kia made further refinements to its feel. SOFINO leatherette-trimmed seating became available, as did seat heating and ventilation in front, both power front-seat adjustment and lumbar support, and ambient LED lighting.

Secondly, the new Forte got more than a few style enhancements. It's now available in aurora black, snow white pearl, or fire orange, it offers options to create nearly wraparound LED lighting, and striking chrome molding and exhaust tip accents are optional, as is a statement-making trunk-lid spoiler.

Third, Forte stepped up on efficiency. Pair its 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle I4 engine with an optional Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), for instance, and you can look forward to excellent mileage -- up to 31 MPG in cities, 41 MPG down highways, and 35 MPG combined, depending on trim and according to EPA estimates.

Finally, for a small sedan, Kia Forte now offers more available tech options than ever. For example, the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system standard in base trims graduates to a UVO eServices variant in those higher, and features the ease of use of voice recognition. Moreover, standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay join up with options like HD Radio and SiriusXM satellite radio, and the car's standard four-speaker audio system becomes a 320-watt, eight-speaker Harman/Kardon premium setup further up the line. Now, factor in optional voice-command navigation, support for SiriusXM traffic updates, and an available pad for charging your mobile phone wirelessly.

Needless to say, 2019 Kia Forte stands out. You can see for yourself right here at Northtown Kia in Amherst. Drop by 3900 Sheridan Drive for a test drive today, and see what the experts are talking about!
